Howdy everyone, What in God's name is this thing. I'm looking for a starter motor so bikes been sitting and while looking over the rest of the electrical I noticed this little doodad I never noticed. Doesn't look stock, what is this thing?

The picture is such a close-up, that it is disorienting. I don't know where it even is on the bike. I see the swing arm, so the photo must be looking up from the bottom? Is it a side stand safety switch? Where is it on the bike?

Maybe someone's idea for a hidden kill switch? It doesn't look factory with the tube clamp, corrugated loom cover and zip tie.

looks like an aftermarket brake switch, normally a rod comes from the bottom

That is 100% what it is. Tha is so much. I don't think that's the culprit for my starter motor issue but the rebuild kit is on the way so I just want to go through all the weird add-ons the p.o done or just stuff I don't recognize
