So the jig you see there was more of a "proof of concept" experiment in order to help me (a 6' 4" tall dude) figure out whether or not I would be remotely comfortable with clip-on bars. I was able to ride around with those things (which were stainless steel pipe clamps from Grainger) enough to determine that clip-ons are awesome so I bought some real ones from dime city cycles. As those were, they never came loose so the experiment was a success in the end.
Oh...and...DAMN!!! I never thought about dropping the front and putting the clip-ons above the tripple tree! That's awesome! I'm gonna do this right now!
