Thats kinda what I'm looking for, suggestions on websites to get some pipes from, I don't want to go through ebay. As of right night, it is stock everything.

What do you guys use as an aftermarket exhaust. I have a 1980 xs400 Special II. Bought it for 200 bucks, and kinda want to make it a fun bike/ good lookin' / good soundin' bike.

I wear a full faced helmet, They have vents so no your head doesn't get sweaty. In Iowa there isn't a requirement to wear helmets so in town I just wear my hat or nothing. I live in a very small biker town, so everyone is very aware of motorcyclists, which is very nice.

Do they make any different sounding horns for the xs400?:bike:

my 1980 does the same thing sometimes and then it comes out of it.. Was thinking my button was sticking or something.

NEW UPDATE. If I roll the bike forward while in 1st gear and press the electric start button it fires off and runs. Any ideas?

The battery is actually brand new and fully charged. New starter Solenoid, it wont fire though. no pop or anything. It'll start by kick starting or pop starting just not with the electric start. Any other ideas?

bought this from a friend for $200. it will kick start, but when i try to electric start it, it makes a whining noise. Is this just a starter that needs replaced? or what might it be? Thanks.
