I need to replace the left carb body of my 77' xs360 because a broken needle is lodged in it. We tried everything the only option would be drilling it out but that's not worth it. Looking to not spend a whole lot. I just need the left carb body. I believe they're 34mm Mikunis

Hello everyone! I am selling my 1977 Yamaha xs360 for $900 obo. I will be moving across the country in may and simply cannot take it with me. The bike needs some carb love (need to be rebuilt), but it has tons of replacement parts. The coils, spark plugs, spark plug wires/caps, voltage...

It'll run for a second with starter fluid. When I get back home in a week I'm gonna go through the carbs and the ignition timing.

Unfortunately I am now out of town for the week, so I will not be able to figure it out until I get back on Sunday. I will let you guys know how it goes.

There's gas in the carbs, that's why I say "cleaning" because I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing. I also think they need to be synced, I'll turn the pilots out 3 turns and clean them to best of my ability. As far as syncing them I don't have vacuum gauges but I know someone that does and...

So while exploring the electrical system of my lovely xs360 that does not want to run, I found some suspect things involving the ignition system but I don't know what exactly they mean for me. First. I believe I have one bad spark plug cap, when I was testing for spark instead of sparking...

Main fuse is all good. I think I just did a shabby job on the wires down real close to the actual stator, to due to lack of effort, I just didn't have much wire left coming of the stator because I cut them to short. I'm to the point that I'm considering doing a complete rewire and make my own...

So I got it all wired back up and it won't start at all... it's a huge bummer. I have no clue now what the issue is.

Okay so I did all of it before I read this and ended up just splicing them to the old connectors. I may have to re-do it, cause now I can't figure out how to get the wires to fit with the clutch cover, I may just take some work tomorrow, I'm pretty tired and don't want to worry about it tonight...

It had to have been something that's rattled or broken from riding it. The person i bought from didn't actually ride it that much and it didn't start acting up until I had ridden it for a few weeks.
