Anyone know the differences between these two bikes. Mainly concerned with the wiring harness. I am looking at a harness the seller says is for an 83 and I have the an 82. Mainly hoping that the wire colors are the same so I can use the 82 wiring diagram.

There is a slight amount of play so I would think it is already loose. But I will try it again with a hammer and maybe a different clamp to apply more pressure.

I am looking to get mufflers for my 82 maxim. Just wondering if I would be correct to assume that to install them I would have to cut off the stock exhaust somewhere before the taper and insert them? If so would they slip in or over the current pipes? The ones at mikesxs are all 1 7/8 OD and 1...
