Nvm I found some. Had to go into the yamaha parts manual and go through a bunch of sites typing them in individually. Got the set for $75, not too bad but not really wanting to put too much money into it right now.
Do you know if the carb holders are the exact same? My buddy has some for a bs34 but the part that you bolt to the cylinder the bolt holes are not far enough out. But everything else is correct.
Thanks! Also does anyone know a good place to get intake boots at? Mine are fine atm but would like to have an extra set in case something happend. I have searched around a but but havent found any for the '83 XS400K.
Yea I got them out atm. Waiting for a few more parts on carbs before I assemble it completely. Jets are just sitting in there until I get the new ones.

Sorry I havent been home the past few days. The bike isnt at my house right now but I can get some pictures tomorrow. How can I tell if it is DOHC instead of SOHC?
I do have pics of the carbs though.

So my bike was in the garage for about a hear without starting up so I took the carbs out and cleaned them (soaked them in cleaner for 24hrs about 3 times and used compressed air in all of the passage ways).
I rebuild it this weekend and put all the original sizes in as the PO had a 125...
Going to be putting in all new clutch plates, and putting on new fork seals. Not sure what the torques are for any of the bolts. Not sure if it is SOHC or DOHC. How can I tell what it is?
In May I got my first bike (83' xs400 Maxim). I have just started trying to fix the bike up a little bit and I have little knowledge of what to do. I have taken the carbs apart and cleaned them. I know that the jets need changed but I am not sure what size to get as I do not know the size of the...
When i take it out for bench test it spins and when i put it back in, it cranks slowly. I'll just stick to bump starting it for now. Does anyone know where I can get a choke cable at? I'm getting tired of having to hold the choke in with my finger in the morning :p
