I'll bet you have a float bulb full of gas...that was my problem. I pulled float and shook it....could hear gas "sloshing" in one float.

I installed an in line filter too....tank interior had quit a bit of surface rust so bike needs as many filter barriers as I can get before the carbs.
Tank cleaned up pretty good but still has collected a bit of "finite" material in the fuel filter.
Using one of those "epoxy" fuel tank liner...
Today I gave the bike its' first "bath" since I bought it. The clear coat material on the engine casings is peeling in some places. Found a tiny "ding" under one muffler and a few paint flaws on tank. Touched up with some blue I had....not exact color match but close enough.
Sellers photo on Craigslist : "2780 original miles....$600.00 obo".....got it for $500.00. I think it was worth that...so far have spent another $190.00 and have it running good. Bonus was that the ill fitting windscreen on it fit my old BMW perfectly!....yay
I was surprised how relatively inexpensive the genuine Mikuni Parts were.....only a few more dollars and definitely will fit!
Much of the aftermarket stuff around is questionable quality at best.
I steer clear of "generic" Chinese parts.
I use Shinko Tires on a few of my old bikes....very reasonable prices and actually not too bad a tire.
New ones are only $50.00 - $70.00 each.
Not paying $120.00+ each for "high end" tires that wear out faster than the Shinko's anymore.

Didn't work for me. I worked as a mechanic about a million years ago, so had a lot of extractors and different tricks to try to remove the stubborn bugger.
The old "hammer & chisel" finally won the day.....lol

Got all the fuel system "quirks" worked out......new needles / seats.....had to replace one float assembly. My last ditch "torch" scenario must have melted a bit of solder in one float bulb seam....she got a bit heavy...
