in this situation where bike suddenly dies, another avenue to check is a short in the ignition circuit or kill switch corrosion etc.. sorry to hear about your bike

hey mate! have you tried adjusting your valve clearances?? I have found bikes that wouldnt run or were running rough would fire straight up after adjusting valves.. if that combustion chamber isnt sealing properly, it doesnt matter how many fixes you throw at it, it'll run like a pig.. pretty...

could i also suggest to double check timing? sounds like you are getting compression while inlet valve is open blowing the carb off

I'm not exactly sure! I bought it after it had been sitting on a farm for years!! no record of aus reg but ADR complianced.. has a ton of custom machined alloy parts on it.. no idea of the history.. got it for $600 not running, and a spare xs250 for $400.. replaced fusebox and some wiring, did...

any of you blokes in vic?? im restoring a 360 with a 400 head bored out to 420 ive also got an xs250 im donoring parts from :)

also, its a good idea to degrease and clean and then look specifically for where the leak is coming from ;)

gday mate, i know its a while since you posted but wanted to add my 2c worth that it may just need you to re-torque crankcase bolts etc.. remember to back them off first then tighten to specified torque.. helped me!! all the best :)

Hi guys, Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. Jez, 34 from Melbourne Australia. I've recently aquired a very old and run down 360 with a 420 head on it which i'm in the process of getting started. If that goes well, then I'll start on restoring and modding tastefully etc...
