Put air in the front tire and took a mini test drive around the property. Holy cow does this bike move. It's going to be quite fun on the road. Still a good ways to go but getting there!

Had a moment to play with the bike got the carb boots back on and tightened down properly it's running on both cylinders. Let it warm up and it's 4 1/2 turns out on the mixture screws it'll rev up but it hangs at a high rpm for a few seconds. Pulled the plugs and the tips had a white "dust" look...

Lot of good advice there! It'll be a bit before I can do a on the road test I still need a new tire in the front and a few odds and ends. I'll call some shops in the area and see if they carry the jets this week.

Just figured out the search button on mikes xs looking for jets just wanted to bounce this idea off someone to see if they have any advice For the pilot I'll order the next two sizes up a 45 and 47.5 For the main a 137.5 and a 140 I'm hoping those should do the trick because the 8.00 shopping...

Just opened up the carbs and here are the jets I have Main 135 Pilot jet 42.5 Pilot air jet 155 I'm I'm thinking going up one on the pilot to a 45 to see how that works as a start. I'll order two different sizes of jets for the main and pilot unless anyone here has a set they want to part...

Thanks! The boots are in good shape luckily but the left side wasn't screwed down snug so it was letting some air in. I forgot to check the carb jets today to see what size I have and what ones to order to start tuning

Got to Play around and start the bike trying to get an idea about what I need to tune it. Saw when it backfires there was a gap between the carb boot and engine in the one side that didnt want to run. The boots had a gasket which I've never seen used before on a boot but is this a common thing?

Run into and interesting problem. I realized it's only running one the right cylinder. So I replaced the left coil and plug wire with a parts one and no change. I did notice it would fire the left cylinder if the cap was half on. So I pulled the plug cap off while it was running so it was just...

Been a while since I've had time to work on the bike. Switched out the front forks and rear to put the spoke rims on and also replaced the steering bearings. I decided to try a different exhaust. I had a spare set of already hacked exhaust pipes and two shorty mufflers from a yard sale two end...

So have the front end up in the air and have the wheel off. There is no wobble in the bearings if I try to wiggle it but if I move it from far left to right there is a small numb in the middle almost if there is a divet in the bearings right in the middle. So going to order new bearings
