Only thing I had to remove were the tabs to hang the stock seat. Though I did fab another bracket to mount it. That's the second time someone suggested the Gulf racing colors.

Yep! http://www.hotwingglass.com/ I've bought two seats from them and have been quite pleased. Those coned megs are just Emgo. I should have put more work into that seat. That gap in the front looks a bit crap. Of course it would have been nice if the bottom line of the tank and seat matched.

I finally painted this headache. Now I need to replace the coils. But hey, it comes with the territory.

Could the petcock diaphram be the culprit

The jetting is a mess. Though I went with a recommendation on here. Open pipes, no airbox, filters... As soon as everything is sorted, it's going on the dyno. Lets hope is stays in one piece. I'm not looking for HPs (or I'd be silly).

Could the petcock diaphram be the culprit

Yes, it's normally connected. But does it need to only vac a seal, or does it vac continuous air? Should it die when I stick my thumb over the tubing?

Could the petcock diaphram be the culprit

My bike always runs. But seems starved for fuel after a while. Of course I tried opening the fuel cap to no avail. I disassembled the petcock and found the diaphragm stuck closed? Could this be my issue? I rode it around goon style, while holding my auxiliary tank, and it ran fine. The manifold...

    "Work smarter, not harder."

Last time I worked on my forks, I clamped them into the world's worst bicycle repair stand, and used a palm driver and a deepwell socket to apply pressure and remove the keeper. I had also made spacers, so it was under extra preload. I literally about lost an eye trying to get them reassembled...

    Carb Adjustment

I have never had a bike that I've suffered through carb issues as I have on this bike. I have open pipes, NO filters(I know, I'm asking for more problems), 24mm float height, 50 pilot, 160 main, at 3.5 turns out. My issue seems to be fuel starvation at either carb. At times it runs pretty well...

My experiences with carb tuning my XS400 bobber

I cleaned the piss out of them again yesterday. Rubber plugs? No idea. I better go to the bandit and see if I'm missing parts. The choke is working. Funny thing. It starts easier with the shitty filters on. I'm guessing as it's clogging up that air passage with the rubber boot. Diaphragms are...

12.6" I dropped my forks to compensate. Mike's XS sells them. I wish I could flip them around. But I can't without modding them with special bushings. http://www.mikesxs.net/products-18.html#products

    My (in progress) Tracker build.

I few years ago I built this as a cafe. Clip ons, custom rearsets, fender mods, etc. It looked pretty cool! But I got back to my roots (2 strokes) and race bikes. So my last remaining 4 stroke needed to some attention. I decided to build a Tracker. It's not yet completed. I'm fabbing a headlight...
