Probably a dumb question but I have removed my tach and speedo to replace with new mini gauges I've picked up. In behind the speedo there is a white/green and black wire that plug into a black plastic piece that has a fuse or light type thing attached to it. I'm curious as to what that is/...

thats right "PARK" function not "lock", thanks for the correction. The reason for wanting to remove the stock key ignition is because I'm going with clip ons and mini gauges, I find the keyed ignition once the regular handlebars are removed and esp the stock gauges are removed sticks up so high...

I've tried right after the bike was in motion, the ground is snow covered here in Calgary so its tough right now to do road tests. I currently have 5w30 in the bike, I'm just using that oil while i work on it... could type of oil be causing the issue?
