Ignition Coil Confusion

Hello im new to the forum,

I have myself a yamaha xs400se 1980 that i have spent the last year tearing apart and rebuildng into some sort of bobber/Scrambler

I have ridden it a fair bit and a few times i have been out on it i have a complete loss of power and need to pull over and wait a while before i can kick it over again would anyone have an idea what this could be ( probably a possibility of 1000 things haha)

Also i think my ignition coils are perished and wanted to upgrade them for new ones but im unsure if they are TCI or CDI coils that i need or are they the same ignition coils for both?

4 kOhm ist what you should be going for. MikesXS has them, but they're no 1:1 fit for the original mounts, I think

Tci bikes use a 3 ohm primary coil. Test yours to make sure if they are bad. The full specs are in the manual.
