    HELP | Installing rear wheel/with drum 81 s400

He sent me the bushings with the kit, and i made my own axle and spacers. My stock axle was exactly 1" too short, so the complete length, plus the threads again. I'm not sure who makes/sells axles, but I'm fortunate to have access to a lathe and stock at work.

    HELP | Installing rear wheel/with drum 81 s400

FWIW, the Voodoo Vintage XS400 kit comes out 1" wider... i had to make a new axle and spacers... its normal.

    79 rigid- slow build style

no instructions, but it's pretty intuative. if you dont have a jig, you should really look into how others have done rigids without one- also, it will be ~1" wider at the axle tabs, so plan on having an axle made.

    79 rigid- slow build style

well, I've made some progress, got my 16'' rear wheel, thanks to NA3S, and smacked out the lower rear mounts. I have another thread about the uppers, and the distance from the backbone to the mount points is exactly the length of an XS400 con-rod, so perhaps i can do something with that, as I...

engine mount questions (for single backbone)

While setting up this rigid with a single backbone, I have taken issue with the rear upper mount- as in, I'm not sure how I'm going to make it work, and look decent. The front mount stays in place, and I have sorted the rear lowers. I know there is some debate on the 650s about the need for a...
