Just to be clear. The pictured needle jets and jet needles are actual XS360 parts?

    pamco failure?

Bram I would love to try those. Anything approaching aircraft spec as far as current, heat, vibration is worth it.

Cant for the life of me figure this out.. XS360 LED Conversion

Don't chuck the self cancelling unit. They are getting rare and are not really serviceable. I'd not mind a few spare of them myself.

    pamco failure?

Broke out the multimeter again today. The g4bc30u rectifier failed. I might replace them both with a high quality - high temp version.

    pamco failure?

I’ve contemplated grafting the system off the other 400 wiring harnesses/bikes/motors I have.

    pamco failure?

I feel pretty lucky it half failed and got me home at least. Then fully gave up the ghost in the garage.

    pamco failure?

Put the points back on. Fired right up. My pamco is a door stop now.

    pamco failure?

My voltage regulator is just fine. It’s not the OEM Yamaha one. Very upgraded from the mechanical idiocy they had.

    pamco failure?

Indeed. I use the stock advancer.

    pamco failure?

Well, bike has zero spark now. Solid 12v at the connectors. Checked continuity powered off. Seems one of the main transistors on the Pamco has failed. I think I’ll put the points back in.

    pamco failure?

Luckily no cold solder or burnout marks on the pamco. It's one degree above freezing outside today. And in the garage. I'll see if the condenser connector wires have power since I power the orange wires on the pamco from that connector. Once it warms up outside. lol.

    pamco failure?

I was riding home from a quite chilly but sunny rip through town. Sitting at a light, turning left. Coast was clear, gave it some gas and clutch and it bogged. Exhaust went a kinda bassy tone and I figured some junk had clogged a jet or a coil failed. Nursed it home on one cylinder and I found...

    Connected battery, heard a click

For anyone that searches in the future, if you connect the battery and the headlight relay clicks, your rectifier is fried. I pulled a rectified and a regulator off the 400 frame I have and went electronic in the regulator. The pins pushed out and I made a male connector from female.

    Connected battery, heard a click

And the bike is making 13.3v with the regulator not plugged in or plugged in. Blowing the signal fuse as well. Long day ahead troubleshooting.

    Connected battery, heard a click

So I put a new battery in it and I went to connect it and I heard a relay click. There should not be an energised relay with the key off. It’s the relay right behind the head tube, just under the tank. What short would cause this?

AGM YT12A-BS - does it fit in a stock battery box?

So I work in a shop. Husky/Suzuki dealer. I decided to take an older battery box in from a 400 and mess around. Voila! At 210 cold cranking amps and advanced lead-calcium maintenance free tech, the YXT14AH-BS fits perfectly. It is only 6mm taller yet there is plenty of room. Quite excited to...

    XS360 Pilot Jets

I had two of the supplied studs break off in the head. Wrong grade of steel. The stock ones don’t break. I should check the two I didn’t bust off and see if the gasket is sealing between header and head. I’m afraid to take them off now since they will most likely snap off in the head. Ugh...

    XS360 Pilot Jets

That’s very interesting. I have a stock 360 with the new Mac pipes and headers. I turned the mixture screw out 4 turns just to get it to not pop on decel.
