This is not an xs400, but a triumph I was thinking about purchasing. Just wondering if anyone has seen anything like this before. Looks like it's bubbling up, cant tell if it's just paint, a possible "weld fix", or if maybe the engine has overheated.

Finally got my flat seat done! Thanks for all the info yQshi. I ended up using a cheap skateboard and a foam exercise mat i picked up from Walmart. Used spray adhesive to attach the foam (4 layers). Had a local upholsterer sew a diamond pattern with green thread that matched my new paint job...

Did u have to relocate your battery? Looks like if i cut the front tabs, ill be sitting right on top of it.

Cleaned and oiled my chain, replaced bad gas i somehow got ahold of, added some Seafoam, and went for a nice ride... ending in some spicy boiled crab legs... mmmmmm....
