Have a 81 that could use so parts I'd like to be entered

I work in a place that makes seats for chairs and they have 2 holes about 5/8" in the bottoms of the boards to let the air out when you sit down.This is done too lessen the pressue on the seat fabric or it will in time weaken and rip fabric.

All the bikes I have ever had since 1976 up to my 2010 ultra this problem was due to the clutch not being adjusted properly. When you get a manual or the ones online here take your time and read and adjust clutch its pretty easy should take care of your problem.

Ok have an 81 xs400 but bought a set of 82-83 carbs on ebay . Found that they did not line up to carb boots . What was changed on them years to do this? Was the cylinders heads changed and the intake holes moved ? or are there just different boots for these years?

I live in Wisconsin. got a xs400 from a guy about 5 years ago no title. Finally went to dmv with him last xmas break he said he had it titled before and even had a plate. They could not find record.Had to call special number at dmv was told to take pics of neck id numbers send pics, bill of sale...
