Thanks xschris! Hey thanks! I think that just means I did it right! :thumbsup: Base coat first (black night metallic), let dry then scuff, then I used 3M fine line tape to lay out the flames, masked off the negative space, sprayed the flame candy base coat (orion silver) then airbrushed...

As promised, here are the rest of the tank pics. Not perfect but for my first flame job and motorcycle gas tank I'm pleased! The front and rear fenders will get done the same way. Let me know what y'all think.

Logged a few mile of the bike before tear down and spent this week getting things ready for paint. Got the frame done minus clear coat. I had the tank all ready for paint but like a dumb a** I dropped it and added some more body work lol. This is the color I picked for the frame.

Well my jets came in and am really happy with the way it's running. Still need to work out a few idle issues but aside from that I've decided the paint scheme will be red and black.
