No, just cap it off with a vacuum cap. it is there so that you don't have to turn the petcock "off" every time you stop somewhere. Just get used to flipping it to off and you'll be fine!

Yes, the swing arm was cut about 3" from the axle plates.

The paint isn't going to stay sadly. It's a swap meet find that has a big dent on the other side, so I am going to dish both sides of the tank.

Fubar, he didnt remove the battery, just the starter motor and parts.... No reason the bike wont run fine with it removed. Reaper, if the freeze plug you're refering to is the expandable rubber kind, it will work fine, that's what im using.
