...Are they supposed to be such a tight fit? There's no way they aren't going into the shaft without hitting them with a hammer, there's even marks on the carb body of where its rubbing. It's tighter than a [fill in the blank]!

I was hoping you guys could save me a 30min trip to measure shocks... Looking for the unloaded (off the bike) eye to eye measurement if the rear shocks on a stock XS. Found some economical replacements on craigslist that I would like to grab if they will work. The eye to eye on them is 12.5"...
