You dont happen to remember what size grease fitting you used do you? Would definitely be nice if the choke stayed out on its own!

This is my choke situation. I can clearly see the detents, and even the spring. Now where is the ball bearing supposed to be, at the end of the spring?

Ill give it a clean this weekend, and hopefully that'll go a long way. I just put on new air filters before both carbs about two weeks ago. As for the ball bearing, i hope its still there and as you said, just gunked up. If its not there i guess i can always hold the choke out when im starting...

Definitely! Who would've thought it was such a simple fix? Dirty contacts is one thing ill have an eye out for in the future, should any electrical problems arise again.

So i did finally find my problem, though it only dragged on because ive been so busy with work! I actually just did a continuity check with my voltmeter across the ignition components, though i didnt have to look long since my problem all along was that the contacts holding the ignition fuse...
