    ya i've read a couple of other maxim to cafe threads... I hope I'm not getting in over my head. I figure with some suspension tinkering/swapping I can lower the front, raise the rear... just worried if it will be ridable after. Possibly using the minton mods method

    Petcock leaking...cold weather the culprit?

    Not trying to hijack the thread, but i also have a petcock problem.. at least i think i do. I have an 82 xs400j Maxim and i noticed a little bit of what looks like engine oil leaking out. not a lot just a couple drops. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

    ive done some reading online and it could be low battery charge because the relay needs a strong charge or the ground wire connection is dirty or loose. Ive put my battery on the charger and will try again but if not I'm at a loss
