Blown out baffle

Hey guys so I have an 82 maxim and I blew a baffle out my one muffler. Its very loud now but I'm also having heating issues so it'll have to be fixed. i was looking at welding in a new baffle and cap or just buying a new muffler. has anyone had success with a from scratch rebuild or should i just replace the whole muffler?

I have seen baffles forsale online that fit the stock mufflers depending on the year of the bike selling reasonable.I hink Mikexs has them if they`re not sold out.
