1979 Headlight Bucket

Was the stock headlight bucket on '79s plastic? I am thinking of taking over the restoration of a '79 my son got in a trade for a set of Harley bars. Bike is in not bad condition and runs well. Think it has low miles but speedo was missing.

Great, thanks! I am more familiar with "80 & "81 models and wasn't certain. It has Mikuni carbs where my '80 and son's '81 have Keihin carbs. W/o any carb tear down and a plastic soda bottle for a gas tank, it started right up and seems to run & idle fine. This is a very early '79 - June '78, IIRC - with mags and full disc brakes. Will put it aside for now and get into it this Winter. Plan to keep it original.
