Okay 1980 XS400 SE 4G5 UK model. The Haynes manual suggests 32 mm which seems incredibly high. Both were set at 23mm as dismantled. Views seem mixed, any definitive answers??
Thanks for that Chris, but unless I missed it still too many differing opinions.
In any event turning the carbs upside down and measuring 23mm from gasket face (sans gasket) to top of black rubber float give's me a fuel level of exactly 2mm below the float bowl mating line.
