Hello all I have for sale a 1981 Yamaha xs400 special I would like to sell. I had it running in 2011, I rebuilt the carbs, and since it has pod filters and strait pipes rejetted them, I changed the head gasket. After all that in the late fall the timing chain stretched out it quit running, my wife was tired of all the time I was putting into it and okayed me to get a newer bike. I was going to change the timing chain (I have one), but I have not gotten the time to do it, so my loss is your gain. I have quite a few spare parts for it as well.
The pictures are from 2011 when I was riding it so the bags and windshield are long gone. And the bike has both side covers, one was broken so it was still on the way here in the pictures.
