Check the clearances as per manual, it Will tell you if you have to replace them. And with a little calculation you should be able to get the right shims.

Yes. The shims are how the valve clearances are adjusted. Just an educated guess, but you will need thinner shims than what is currently installed. And since you will ask, NO, you can't grind and thin the shims. They are hardened steel with a polished finish.
