Hi all,

First time post from a longtime lurker. I have a 1979 XS400-2F that I picked up as a restoration project, a barn find of sorts. I also picked up another cheap xs400 that had been modified into a flat track bike as a parts bike (no signals, speedo to make it road legal ect.). However after purchasing, taking it home and looking at the serial numbers, turns out the flat track xs400 is really an xs360 (1L9 serial number start). The XS360 runs and other than the modifications seems to be in good shape. I am doing a top end on my XS400 as the spark plug treads are stripped, want to replace pistons/rings, get the cylinders honed ect. and was wondering if I could just swap the 360 top end onto the XS400 bottom. I thought I'd ask the experts here before I start working on taking parts of the xs360 just to find out they wont fit.

Thanks!
