My latest project is another 1977 xs360. Base, spoke wheels and drum brakes. Anyway, it has 3.25 18 front and 3.50 18 rear tires. Does anybody know or have experience with 3.50 18 tires on the front and rear. Just wonder if it will fit the wheel and if there would be any clearance problems. Thanks in advance.

Your XS360 came with 3.00 front and 3.50 rear, both on 1.85 rims. That's a pretty skinny rear rim, and the limit for a 3.50 tire. I don't know for sure if a 3.50 will give you sufficient clearance at the fender brackets. Measure your 3.25 and see how much you have left. You are going to loose 1/8" at each side with a larger 3.50. This clearance could also change as tires are normally wider than the stated 3.50 inch measurement. My 3.00 front measures 3.25". Hopefully someone will chime in that has successfully mounted a 3.50 front. I take it you're doing this mod for looks?

Thanks for your post. Yeah on this one i was going to see how it would be (look)with both tires the same size (3.50)

If you have a drum front wheel your rim is 1.60 and stock tire is 3.00. Going bigger is only for looks as it will not make any performance improvements.
