Greetings. My first post on here and I could really use the input of you veterans..... just help me get pointed in the right direction if nothing else.
The machine is 1982 DOHC XS400J SECA.
I really love this bike, but when I go for a ride and shut the bike off .... if I try to restart it after a couple minutes it is dead as a doornail .... nothing, no lights, no starter, nothing.
If I wait about 20 minutes or so, I can turn the key on and it is fine., everything works, starts right up again.
When the bike is started and running (before or after an incident) there is no issue, it never dies or goes dead..... it doesn't happen until after I shut the engine off.
I guess it is some kind of relay, but where to start..... has anyone else ever had this problem?
