Hi All, just an update really, got the charging sorted with a RR32 regulator/rectifier.
Done 20 miles since back on the road
Plug chop shows pale grey both sides, pulls like a train and certainly isn’t 27 hp. I think that figure is a unit transpose 27 kW = 36 hp and certainly feels like that. It’s an SE. Now some people recko n stock has a different cam, and does 43 hp, yet to see evidence of this and back in the day more than 100bhp per litre was hens teeth.
Still wont tickover at less than about 3000, throttle stop isn’t touching linkage, I’ve upped pilots from 42.5 to 45. About to try dropping pilot airs jets from 150 to 140.

If you up your jets you need to swap your airbox out, stock airboxes hate larger pilots on these bikes. I run stock so beyond that I can't tell you what else to do to help.

Also order a new throttle cable, mine had the same issue (although I have a Maxim) and a new cable from the proper bike worked fine. Another option is to get a pair of tin snips and a razor blade and cut the sheath back a little. As far as sorting out the starting, take the throttle cable off the throttle for now and do adjustments there, the cable may not be long enough.

The plugs look fine to me, I'll pull my right one tomorrow and show you what a fouled plug looks like :p your plugs suggest good operation, so don't mess with the idle mixtures if you can avoid it, at least for now.
