Quick question here.
On the DOHC's engine...does one coil pulse equal one Rev?
Trying to figure this out to programme the Acewell tach...looks acurate (eyeball assesment while idling/running) but I really would like to make sure.

I believe you are correct. The ignition pick-up coils are 180º apart (just like the pistons) so they are being triggered with every crank revolution. I hadn't thought about it before, but that would indicate a "wasted spark" on the exhaust stroke. And that would explain why my digital timing light was reading strange RPM's... Thanks Jeff!

Thanks Dave, the tach "felt" acurate but I wanted to make sure as i plugged the pick-up wire to the the tach into one coil only so : one fire/one Rev.
So that's good.
All that remains is settings the right front wheel circumference for the Speedo and it's done.
