Hey all: thinking of using an aftermarket speedo on my bike. I know that if I got one that wasn't set up for my bike that I need to correct for that. So a couple questions:

What is the ratio for the xs400, stock drum front wheel
Is there a speedo anyone knows of that will work off the shelf
If not, any pointers on how to makes an off the shelf speedo work on our bikes...

Much appreciated and happy holidays |SUBT3RRA

Hey guys

Still looking for a speedo and tach - Mikes XS says the aftermarket speedo's they have for the XS650 should work, but the ratio is saying 2:1 on the web, which doesn't sound right.

Any comments on that?

Thanks

That's what I thought. Kinda PO'd they would say it should work. I mean the ratio's aren't even close.

So I'm kinda stuck - not sure where to look for a good aftermarket speedo and matching tach. I guess ebay?

Thanks |DN

I got mine from DCC personally. You might check ebay for different ones yeah!

Just be careful and make sure everything is labeled for the correct application and go by the ratio. The return policies on devices like these tend to be stricter because they are easily damaged.

I'd also be leery about ordering something that is too cheap on ebay. There are moving precision parts inside.
