I am trying to find a shop that can reupholster my stock 79 XS400 seat into the café style pictured... I want to use the stock pan so I keep the battery seat hinge/lock stock.. Any ideas other than Sargent?
My first thought is DIY. All you need is foam, contact cement (aerosol is easier), a knife for rough shaping, grinder with sanding disk for fine shaping, material for covering, and a mechanical thread injector (sewing machine). Take a look at http://www.diymotorcycleseat.com/ for inspiration.
If that is too daunting for you, there is probably an upholstery shop in your area that could take your money.
