Anybody have air tube dimensions handy?

My air filters are falling apart. What I want is to have a single oval air filter that would attach to the two inlets of the stock air tube.

Anyone have the dimensions of the filter end of the air tube? I thought I'd check before taking it all apart.

there was a thread buried in the forum using a k&n filter, you'll have to search for it

I saw it. He used the filter direct on carbs, not on the air tube. I'd like to keep the tube and have the filter further back.

I guess I'll just have to take it apart.

i think it would be quite large to use the existing setup.

what about having straight tubes and use that filter

i think its 1 3/4 inch off the end of the boot an 2 1/2 inch off the carb
