bike stutters a bit at 8-9000RPM

I'm still kinda of a newbie and haven't really pushed the bike too hard yet. Learned that going fast is fun... As I gain some more confidence, even considering taking it on a limited access highway.... However,just noticed the motor stutters at 8-9000 RPM. Don't know if this is related to new mufflers...but want to get this fixed before I test the top end. Bike runs great other than this. Any thoughts on what to do? Thanks!

Have you adjusted the valves and synced the carbs with a manometer?

Nope. But I guess Im gonna learn... does it matter which of those two projects I screw up first? LOL...
