i posted a thread on here a couple weeks ago about how i over-tightened my air mixture screw and the tip broke off and got wedged down into the carb. i think drewpy or houghmade told me a filed-down nail worked.
i finally took everything apart to investigate. i'm assuming the filed down nail is for sticking it up the small jet hole from inside the mouth of the carb, pushing the broken tip back up and out? the broken tips are wedged in there pretty good and i'm afraid the filed down nail will break before the tip gets pushed out. would heating up the carbs with a torch help expand the metal to get the broken tip out?
if none of this works i'm assuming i have to buy some new carbs?
anyone have some carbs for a 77' xs400?
thanks
