Can I order a replacement replacement (KEY) for my current ignition/gas tank/he.hold?

HI have the matching ignition, gas tank, and helmet holder for my 81 heritage special and i dont have a key for it. Is there any place where i can order just the replacement Key based off of the three digit code on the bottom of the ignition or my bikes Vin #? I would really like to keep only one key for the whole bike so any help much appreciated!

There should be a 4 digit number on the chrome part of the key hole. Take those number to a yamaha dealer and they can have one made. If they don't have the key there they will have to order one from japan. I think I paid like $20 to have one sent for my 79 and it took almost two weeks

Your local locksmith may be able to cut one from the code for you or failing that he may be able to make one if you take one of the lock cylinders in to his shop.
