your best bet is to open your carbs up and see what you have as a starting point,

read the available carb tuning guide for the xs650 http://www.amckayltd.com/carbguide.pdf the process and theory is the same for us just the jet sizes are different

then source out a supplier to get a variety of sizes for testing

since you're in Canada http://www.xs650direct.com/ is often your best bet.

A dealer or ebay may help get you the odd jet set that is not in stock

Re-jetting is actually very easy and is an on going experiment

read the guide and you'll know what you're looking for while out riding
 
you have to compare what you have when you open them, but likely they are Mikuni BS34 carburetors, the same we're used on certain XS650s and XS400s so the jets will fit.

but learn the difference from the website between the CV pilot jets and the VM jets so you don't order wrong. BS34's require CV's to run right
