I've been wanting to use my xs for a cafe project and the other night after quite a few beers i flipped the bars over and cut about two inches off each end. I rode it the next day and the handling felt awesome! Does this look to ghetto? Should I be aware any of safety issues this way? If i want to change any angle I can just take them off, stick them in my truck hitch and use a cheater bar the bend them any way i want. other than looks this is just as good as spendy cafe bars right?

Look at your second & third photos.... do you like the way it looks? This is the answer to your question :) Your rest of your bike looks great, if your happy with the bars the way they are then leave them. If your just 'making do' with what you have for now to save on cash that's fine too, just use them until you save for exactly what you want. My personal opinion is they don't look right the way they are, I would change them if it were my bike.

Some low riser bars look ok flipped, but those bars imo, do not look so crash hot upside down like that. Just looks plain weird, but maybe its the angle of the photos?

Upside down bars do not appeal to me. Clip ons might be too low to be comfortable. A set of flat bars might be just right. JMO.
