Convert Front Wheel from drum to disc

I have found all the parts I need for converting my 1980 xs400 front wheel with drum to 1980 xs400 special wheel with disc. I have found the forks, wheel, and master cylinder. Only thing I can't find is a caliper... Anyone know where I can find one? Am I missing anything else important?

Will one work from an 82?

Make sure it is not a "Seca" caliper; these are not the same as far as I know despite the fact that both are called an xs400.

There may not be any available. You can also check the classifieds for bikes being parted out or post a want ad.

Will a master cylinder and caliper from a XS650 work with little to no modification?

Will a caliper from a xs650 bolt up to xs400 forks?

Very unlikely; It was my understanding that almost nothing from the 650 is interchangeable with the 400.

A lot of people make custom brackets and use a more modern caliper.
