Is there a trick to getting the cylinder block o-rings (large, red ones) in the groove? I have to stretch them slightly to fit over the barrels, but once I start shoving them in the grooves I have a ton of extra that folds over. Is there a way to shrink the o-ring? The o-rings are new, of course.

I'm in the middle of assembly and I have to stop for this :banghead:

Arg, I got it in the end. User error was the problem. I was squishing the o-ring down in a circular, parallel motion and thereby stretching it. Pushing down perpendicularly worked perfectly.

beat me to it BC :D

been there mate, always stop and think. Sometimes its the quicker way

that's why us brits drink so much tea, good thinking time!

uh oh i might be taking mine apart again, i just sort of placed them over and set the jugs on the top of the crank case with gasket.. think i pinched one?

If you tear it down again after torquing everything down you may need all new gaskets. I don't know if they can be re-used after being opened. The manual, of course, always recommends renewing gaskets.
