deleting solenoiid, red/white wire?

I'm going to run one of those small cigarette pack sized batteries and kick only. So removing the solenoid, there are two wires soldered to the solenoid, blue/white and red/white. Blue/white I'm assuming is from the starter button for a trigger. Red/white is for ignition I'm going to assume as well, do I splice that wire in directly to the battery Positive?

I don't think you have to do anything. Just remove the solenoid. You can test this easily enough, with a couple kicks.

cool thanks guy. the bike is disassembled and im doing some wiring under the seat so i needed to know now. very convenient that i dont have to anything!
