Do all models use the same carb inlet boots?

Hi,

My carb inlet boots are well cracked and although an ether test did not seem to reveal any leaks, I have starting problems and am going to have the carbs out to clean them up so I think it will be good to fit new boots.

The bike is an XS400SE, 'US Custom' UK model, 1981. Numbers start 4G5. This is similar to US 'Special' models but I know is not 100% identical (EG Rear fender / tail lamp may be different).

There's an eBay seller with some pattern boots up (in USA) but he does not know if they are compatible.

Does anyone know if there are inlet differences, or are all models the same?

Cheers, Buccaneer.

All sohc engines are the same, other than some had square cooling fins . The intake manifold boots where the same on all models:)

*PS*

I just got a reply from the seller with the Yamaha part numbers that his inlets are compatible with, and they do indeed match the numbers in the parts catalogue for my 4G5 bike, so it's officially confirmed as well.
