Drag Pipes/glasspaks/baffles etc...!?

Volcomskater, those look dope.
i've been bombing around and this thing is a bit too loud, so this is what ive got so far....was hoping to use some fmf or procircuit muffler packing between the two but its pretty tight.
curious if there is something i can use between the two pipes to quiet it down abit?

You can use the really fine steel wool from a hardware store. I just made these little 6" baffles with some headers from a xs360. Sounds a bit loud for me still so I think I'm going to combo these with the thumb screw baffle. Still need to shim a bit on the outside of the copper too because it sounds a bit "slappy." Low end sounds really gurgly and I love it.:bike:

Nice!
I think im going to use fibreglass matt,( not the woven mesh)
Hmmm, it should work! Im abit excited to see how it will sound.

Steel wool will rust or burn away in no time. An hour or 2. I tried it. :(

Stainless steel pot scrubbers are cheap (4 for $1) and have lasted me about a month so far...

I heard those brilla pads ^ hold up to home made silencers so im sure it could take the heat, I need to toss mine in there and fuck with the jetting. left cylinder has SOOOOO much popping on decal it retarded

Yeah the steel wool does burn up, you definitely have to wrap a bunch in there to make it last a while. I changed my mind and ended up getting some 1.5 inch pipe cut and bought some can opener style baffles from the junk yard for 5 bones. Sounds just as good and gives much better back pressure. Reegs, can i ask where you got your exhaust clamps? I like them a lot and want something more low profile than an automotive one. Thanks!

Volcom, love those handlebars man, sick bike.

Hitman, i got the clamps from an industrial supply store, i believe its a hose clamp. Its not the standard style its a cam-lock style mine take a 10mm socket. the same type comes with aftermarket cat-back systems for trucks etc. same style clamps came with my magnaflow catback for my truck..
so try a quality muffler shop or somewhere that sells industrial hose, good luck!
good score with the baffles!
