I just pulled off the carbs and the floats are a bit tarnished. Do I need to replace, Clean, what? Any help appriciated. I have attached a picture for reference.
Take a brass brush to them with carb cleaner if this bothers you; mine are a bit dingy, but something like this shouldn't affect performance unless they are so grimy that junk is contaminating the fuel. Yours look like they could use a little elbow grease, but this looks mostly cosmetic.
If you are looking for bling in your bowl, the best product would be a marine epoxy, it would stand up to the gasoline and might make you smile everytime you open your carbs. I have done some pretty goofy things for my own pleasure when I do maintenance stuff.
