Frames, what fits?

What different years/models/ etc. Frames are interchangeable w/ @ 1979 XS400-2 ?...
Mine has been cut in the back to make a bobber with, then previous owner changed their mind...

1980-G and SG is the only direct match frameS for the 79 2-F. The 77-D the has different fuel tank mounts and rear disc brakes. The 78 2-E has same drum rear brakes but different tank mounts. The 78-E has same tank mounts but has rear disc brakes. What is the frame number for your frame and motor? You need to make sure before looking.
