front brake problème please help me

hello,

i've a big problème with my front disc brake.

this weekend i reconnected my front brake system, i purged there is no air but the brake lever is actuated too late. Thecaliber piston moved up and down put never move only up to fied the pad.

When i put no pad between the caliper, le caliper piston moved upwhen i press the lever and down when i relaxe. never the piston try to moved up .

before i changed the piston caliber gasket.

there is a direction to put the gasket on our xs400?

today to be sure i changed the mc piston nd gasket but i've just tried and it the same...

please help me ....

finlly, i 've disassembled the caliber piston, reassembled purged and it seems not too bad! Not racing breaking but correct.
perhaps my piston was a little blocked because i 've changed it a long time ago... i don't know.

mine still sticks slightly, had stainless pistons fitted so could be down to the different expansion rates of alloy and stainless!
