Getting ready to power up

This is my 81 Special. It is getting near time to get the engine ready to install. The other bike in the pix is a Honda cafe racer I am working on. I used the same colors of green and orange on it as I did the yamaha.
There are a couple of pix of my home made struts.
If you look in front of the Honda, you will see the Yamaha motor getting ready to go.

this week was spent getting the brake cable and rod hooked up.
also modified my struts...again!
made a seat from scratch for the cafe.
got the fairing in and taped and primed it. it will be striped to match the tank and seat.
other than that, I did mange to bring home 2 20" and one 17" speckled trout.

not sure what type of frame i got but easy to rake, just unweld and lift a bit

im not touching for now, still got shocks in back

i only unspot welded front of tank and lifted maybe 2 inches

Black and red bike is nice, mines similar to that, i made the seat out of the old seat... kinda busy

placed Harley drag bars, tapped up with black wire tap

the harley bars are bigger but the stock bars slide in perfect... welded and drilled 2 holes to spot weld
