Hi from another german guy, too. I think most of the members are driving the "old type" 2A2. If there are members driving the DOHC 12E/12R I would appreciate contacting me.

Driving my ´84 DOHC for more than 20 years now I may add some words to this model if necessary.

Welcome to our new forum. Your experience will be valuable to the forum. Just joined recently, too. Both sides of my family are from Germany, emigrating to the U.S. in the late 1800s. Last names of Stegman and Breitenbach. Always nice to hear from folks in the "Mother Country"! In addition to the 1980 XS400, my "stable" also contains a '90 300E and a '77 230 - both in outstanding condition and reliable drivers. I have moved "up" since my VW days. LOL
