Any help would be very much appreciated trying to identify this gas tank the only I can come up with is possibly a Yamaha DT.

It's the stock tank, stretched with a different cap welded on.

No extra capacity added to the tank.

Wow amazing what couple inches will do to a tank.
Thank you so much I spent a few days on the internet and a few hours on XS400 gallery trying to figure out what tank that was.
That's the exact look I'm going for on the tank.
I'm I not looking in the right place his build should be in garage correct?

A TX750 tank is a couple of inches longer than the XS and has a similar shape. Also XS650.
